Strength for Generations I Lose Weight, Healthy Diet, Strength Training, Nutrition, Energized
Are you exhausted by 2 pm, wondering where all your energy went?
Are you feeling disconnected from your spouse because perimenopause and hormonal changes have zapped your energy for intimacy?
Are you too tired to be the patient, present parent you want to be?
Tired of feeling weak and unable to do the physical activities you used to love?
I am so excited you're here!
This podcast will help you reclaim the energy you thought was gone forever, balance your hormones naturally, and rediscover your physical strength so you can live out your calling with confidence.
Hey, I'm Christa Baker, founder of Baker Family Fitness, wife, mom, and Christian health coach.
For years, I was exhausted and struggling with my changing body. My hormones felt out of control, I was too tired to parent well, too drained to connect with my husband, and too weak to serve others and fulfill my calling in life.
I tried extreme diets that left me more confused, workout programs that ignored my hormonal reality, and generic advice that didn't work for my season of life.
Then, my husband and I realized that we needed to work WITH our bodies. We started using strategies that restored our energy, strengthened our relationships, and honored God's design for our bodies.
Now, I have steady energy to serve my family without running on empty, my husband and I feel connected and confident again, and we're modeling healthy stewardship for our children while living fully into our calling.
If you are ready to find solutions that improve your health so you can show up fully as a parent, spouse, and servant...
Real strategies that work WITH your changing body and hormones...
This podcast is for you!
Grab your coffee or your ribeye and open your heart - it's time to build strength for generations.

In this episode, I'm breaking down the biggest fitness lie ever told and showing you why strength training builds what you actually want as a busy Christian parent so you can stop chasing workouts that leave you exhausted and start building strength that makes you feel powerful.

What if the reason you feel like you're failing at teaching your kids healthy habits is because you're trying to be perfect instead of just being a good leader?
What if your children are learning more from watching how you talk about your own body than from any nutrition lecture you could give them?
Could the key to raising healthy kids actually be showing them that you're still learning too - and that caring for your health is an ongoing journey, not a destination?

What if everything you've been told about anemia and iron deficiency is completely wrong?
What if the exhaustion you feel after iron supplements and infusions isn't because you need more iron, but because your body can't properly use what it already has?
Could the real problem be iron dysregulation - where iron accumulates in your liver and organs while your cells starve for what they need?
This episode will completely revolutionize how you think about iron and anemia. I'm sharing insights from metabolic expert Dr. Piotr Slowinski that explain why traditional iron treatments often make you feel worse, not better, and what's really happening in your body when you test as "anemic."

Key Takeaways:✅ Anemia isn't iron deficiency - it's iron dysregulation where your body can't properly distribute iron
✅ Iron overload is real - taking more iron when your body can't use it creates accumulation in organs
✅ The protein connection - your body needs specific amino acids to transport iron effectively
✅ Heme vs non-heme iron matters - animal sources provide iron your body can actually use
✅ Iron infusions may backfire - adding more iron to a broken system creates more problems
✅ The three stages - iron dysregulation progresses from overload to hemochromatosis to ferroptosis
If you've struggled with "low iron" symptoms despite supplements and infusions, this episode explains why traditional approaches fail and what your body actually needs. God designed your body with incredible wisdom - sometimes we just need to understand how it's supposed to work.

What if the reason you can't lose weight isn't because you're broken, but because you're skipping the five steps that actually work every single time?
What if every Google search for "will this help me lose weight" is actually keeping you further from your breakthrough?
Could the foundation work you've been avoiding be exactly what unlocks lasting transformation - not just for your body, but for generations watching how you steward the gift God gave you?
In this episode, I'm getting a little bold because someone needs to say these words. We're diving into why you need to stop looking for shortcuts and start doing the work that honors God with your body. This isn't about perfection - it's about stewardship, discipline, and building health that actually lasts.

✅ Bring It to Jesus: Identify your emotional eating triggers and ask God to show you what you're really hungry for
God gave you a body as a gift. He expects you to steward it well. That means doing the work even when it's hard, being disciplined even when you don't feel like it, and honoring Him with your choices even when nobody's watching. You are not called to look for shortcuts - you are called to be faithful with what you've been given.

What if the "one flesh" marriage you thought you had is actually operating more like roommates who share a bank account?
What if you're unknowingly sabotaging your marriage by excelling in 4 out of 5 areas but completely neglecting the one that's causing all your tension?
Could fixing just ONE specific area of your marriage unlock deeper connection in every other part of your relationship - and create a legacy that transforms generations?
In this episode, Pastor Jason from New Hope Church shares the biblical framework that saved a crucial piece of my marriage with Mike. He breaks down what it actually means when Scripture says "the two shall become one flesh" - not just the romantic idea, but the practical, day-to-day reality of living as truly unified. This isn't theory - this is the exact framework that removed a constant undercurrent of tension in our home and allowed us to finally communicate openly about the one area we kept stumbling over.

The way we show up in our homes shapes generations. We don't need to wait for things to get worse before we take action. Marriage is about maintaining and sustaining the quality of being one flesh - you can either live into the grain of that truth or live against it and get painful splinters. When we invite Jesus into our marriages and create intentional habits for unity, everything that was already good becomes even better.

Are you watching your child struggle with anxiety or depression - and wondering if there's something deeper going on than just "teenage hormones"?
What if the mental health crisis affecting one in three adolescents isn't just about social media and stress, but something happening at the cellular level?
Could the processed foods your family eats every day be creating iron overload that's literally starving your brain of oxygen and nutrients?
In the US, anxiety disorders now affect 32% of adolescents, and depression rates have increased by over 60% in the last decade. But here's what's striking - this isn't happening everywhere in the world. In this episode, I'm joined again by Piotr Slowinski to explore the connection between iron metabolism and mental health, so you can understand what might really be behind your family's struggles and find hope for real healing.
