Strength for Generations I Lose Weight, Healthy Diet, Strength Training, Nutrition, Energized

Are you exhausted by 2 pm, wondering where all your energy went?

Are you feeling disconnected from your spouse because perimenopause and hormonal changes have zapped your energy for intimacy?

Are you too tired to be the patient, present parent you want to be?

Tired of feeling weak and unable to do the physical activities you used to love?

I am so excited you're here!

This podcast will help you reclaim the energy you thought was gone forever, balance your hormones naturally, and rediscover your physical strength so you can live out your calling with confidence.

Hey, I'm Christa Baker, founder of Baker Family Fitness, wife, mom, and Christian health coach.

For years, I was exhausted and struggling with my changing body. My hormones felt out of control, I was too tired to parent well, too drained to connect with my husband, and too weak to serve others and fulfill my calling in life.

I tried extreme diets that left me more confused, workout programs that ignored my hormonal reality, and generic advice that didn't work for my season of life.

Then, my husband and I realized that we needed to work WITH our bodies. We started using strategies that restored our energy, strengthened our relationships, and honored God's design for our bodies.

Now, I have steady energy to serve my family without running on empty, my husband and I feel connected and confident again, and we're modeling healthy stewardship for our children while living fully into our calling.

If you are ready to find solutions that improve your health so you can show up fully as a parent, spouse, and servant...

Real strategies that work WITH your changing body and hormones...

This podcast is for you!

Grab your coffee or your ribeye and open your heart - it's time to build strength for generations.

This episode is personal.I share my faith story and how God met me in seasons where I was surviving, not living.
If you have ever felt unwanted, unsafe, or like you had to be strong because it was not safe to be soft, this is for you. This is not about blame. It is about healing, identity, and redemption.
I talk about growing up with religion around me but feeling disconnected from God.I share how pain and broken trust shaped my identity and led me down chaotic roads while I searched for belonging.
Then I share the moment God started to change everything.A concert night.A conversation with strangers. An invitation to church.A prayer from a woman in a bathroom that made me feel seen for the first time.
You will hear how Mike and I kept showing up, even when we were struggling, and how God began to soften our hearts and rebuild our home.I share what baptism meant to me and why it was a turning point, not a finish line.
This episode is a reminder that healing is possible. That peace can replace survival mode. And that God restores what pain tried to steal.00:00 Introduction to Healing and Identity02:58 Childhood Struggles and Family Dynamics06:22 Teenage Turmoil and Search for Belonging09:22 Destructive Relationships and Self-Discovery11:21 Meeting My Husband and Early Marriage Challenges14:34 Finding Faith and Community19:36 Baptism and Spiritual Awakening25:10 Healing and Transformation30:35 Restoring Identity and Purposeemail - support@bakerfamilyfitness.comInstagram https://www.instagram.com/bakerfamilyfitness/

When people hear the word discipline, they often think it means being strict, rigid, or forcing themselves to do things they do not want to do.
In this episode of Strength for Generations, we talk about what discipline actually is and how it is built in everyday life, not perfect routines.
Discipline is not about willpower or pressure. It is formed through small, repeatable choices that eventually become normal.
I share why most people are already disciplined in many areas of life and why health feels harder when it is treated as a separate project instead of part of daily living.
We talk about how discipline develops through repetition, not intensity, and how faith plays a central role in steady obedience.
This episode breaks down eight practical ways to build discipline that fit real life:
Eat regular meals instead of skipping and trying to make up for it later.
Move your body every day, even if it is light movement.
Strength train at least twice per week.
Keep workouts simple so they are easy to repeat.
Aim for a consistent bedtime when possible.
Adjust your routine when schedules change instead of abandoning it.
Pay attention to your energy, hunger, and recovery.
Stay with the basics long enough for them to become familiar.
If you leave with one truth, let it be this.Discipline is not punishment. It is faithfulness in small things

Weight loss is usually the first thing people focus on when they want to get healthy. But weight loss is not the same thing as health.
In this episode of Strength for Generations, we talk about why strength matters more than the number on the scale.
The scale only tells a small part of the story. It does not reflect energy, confidence, resilience, or how your body actually feels.
Strength changes how you move, how you carry yourself, and how capable you feel day to day.It supports your joints, bones, metabolism, and your ability to handle stress.
When you shift your focus from weight to strength, progress becomes clearer.Better energy.Improved mood.Clothes fitting differently.More confidence in your body.
This episode also breaks down what strength looks like in real life.Simple movements that support everyday living. And why you do not need long workouts or extreme programs to start.
If you leave with one truth, let it be this.Strength builds trust with your body and supports how you live, serve, and show up.

Welcome to the very first episode of Strength for Generations.
This podcast is more than a place to talk about health. It is a mission to help families build strength, energy, connection, and health that lasts for generations.
In this episode, I share my story and how God led me to start this podcast.
I open up about who I am, who my family is, and why this calling matters so deeply to me.
You’ll hear about my husband Mike and how his diabetes diagnosis changed everything for our family.Health stopped being about workouts or appearance and became about stewardship, responsibility, and legacy.
I also share my own lifelong struggles with body image and hormones. The years of dieting, chasing fixes, and feeling at war with my body. How that impacted my confidence as a wife, a mom, and a woman trying to live out God’s calling.
We talk honestly about marriage seasons that felt heavy.Parenting days that felt overwhelming.Moments where health, finances, and life all collided at once.
But through it all, God never wasted the pain.
He used every struggle to remind me that our story was never just about us.It was about bringing hope to other families. It was about being real, not perfect. It was about walking through hard things with God and coming out stronger.
I share why this podcast exists. Why I chose depth over distraction. And why building strength for generations matters now more than ever.
You’ll also hear my coaching philosophy, what I believe about health, and how faith, family, and fitness are meant to work together.
If you leave this episode with one truth, let it be this.God cares about your health. He created your body with purpose. He gave you a family to fight for.And He has placed a calling on your life worth protecting.
